{"id":10735,"date":"2018-04-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-04-29T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nyc-test.webdemo.gr\/2018\/04\/30\/carole-symposium-theoretical-linguistics-and-language-acquisition-new-york-college\/"},"modified":"2018-04-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-04-29T21:00:00","slug":"carole-symposium-theoretical-linguistics-and-language-acquisition-new-york-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nyc-test.webdemo.gr\/en\/2018\/04\/30\/carole-symposium-theoretical-linguistics-and-language-acquisition-new-york-college\/","title":{"rendered":"Carole symposium Theoretical linguistics and language acquisition at New York College Thessaloniki"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0CAROLE Symposium on<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Theoretical Linguistics and Language Acquisition&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>took place with great success at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gr\/\">NYC College<\/a>, Thessaloniki on April 18<sup>th<\/sup>, organized by the Department of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gr\/study-at-nyc\/undergraduate\/humanities-and-social-sciences\/ba-hons-english-language-and-english\">English Language and English Language Teaching<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>New York College,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Thessaloniki\u00a0<\/strong>in partnership with CAROLE Centre for Applied Research and Outreach in Language Education of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gr\/academic-partners#ap-greenwich\"><strong>University of Greenwich<\/strong><\/a>. The Symposium brought together researchers and scholars in the field of theoretical linguistics from University of Greenwich, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and New York College, Thessaloniki who presented part of their research and work on second language acquisition and learning from the viewpoint of generativism theories (i.e. \u00a0Universal Grammar (UG)). More specifically, they focused on syntax, morphology and semantics.
