The workshop on \u201cHospital Infections and Public Health\u201d was successfully held on Thursday, May 9th<\/sup>, 2019, at the Journalists\u2019 Union of Athens Daily Newspapers Conference Hall.<\/p>\n

The event was organized by the New York College Educational Group<\/strong>, in collaboration with the \u201cHealthcare Associated Infection Surveillance\u201d (EPI.LOI.S.Y.)<\/strong> and the Hellenic Association on Crisis Management in the Health Sector<\/strong>, on the occasion of the World hand Hygiene Day<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Thanos Plevris<\/strong> (Attorney, LLM, MP Candidate with New Democracy), Leon Grigoris<\/strong> (President of the Panhellenic Forensics Association), Athena Stoupi<\/strong> (Infectious Disease Specialist), Theodorakos Ioannis<\/strong> (Lieutenant-Commander of Hellenic Navy, Head of the Department of Microbiology at the Athens Naval Hospital, Member of the Hellenic Association on Crisis Management in the Health Sector) and Ilias Foutsis<\/strong> (President and Founder of New York College Educational Group) attended the event in a packed JUAND hall. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The speakers expressed their opinion on the subject-matter, presenting their point of view through different perspectives, constantly stimulating and generating the interest of the audience.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

The Non-Profit Organization<\/strong> \u201cHealthcare Associated Infection Surveillance\u201d was introduced for the first time, which, led by Thanos Plevris and Ilias Foutsis, aims to contribute on a strategy to minimize the occurrence of in-hospital infections.<\/p>\n

The intriguing discussion was moderated by Journalist, G. Kouvaras.<\/strong><\/p>\n
