Communication is about <strong>transferring information <\/strong>so to understand <strong>better <\/strong>the World. There are many forms of communication: <em>oral<\/em>, <em>written<\/em>, <em>visual<\/em>, and <em>nonverbal communication <\/em>thought gestures and facial expressions. All these types of Communication are <strong>fundamental <\/strong>for a successful career. In NYC -through a variety of Communication Courses- we aim to <strong>boost <\/strong>our student\u2019s and alumni professional profile and to create professionals who -apart from the needed <strong>hard skills<\/strong>&#8211; will <strong>have in- demand skills <\/strong>as well (<strong>soft skills<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Effective<\/strong> <strong>Communication<\/strong> helps professionals to adjust <strong>quickly <\/strong>and <strong>efficiently <\/strong>to every business environment and it also <strong>improves people\u2019s relations<\/strong>. As a result, effective communication helps <strong>leaders to inspire<\/strong>, <strong>motivate<\/strong>, and <strong>affect <\/strong>their team who in turn are happy to work for the <strong>common goal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <strong>importance <\/strong>and the <strong>significance <\/strong>of Communication is recognized the most in times of <strong>Crises <\/strong>(i.e., the pandemic, economic crises) or in the case of sudden events (i.e., earthquakes, fires) that can occur any time anywhere. In NYC during this year our students had the opportunity to follow the Course \u201c<strong>Crisis Communication<\/strong>\u201d where they learned the importance of communicating with clarity and empathy in the business environment. In other words, our students were taught how important is to communicate effectively, meaning to build <strong>mutual relations of trust <\/strong>and to confront every challenge as a <strong>team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">What is more, the recent experience of the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us how important is that the Leaders of the World <strong>plan <\/strong>and <strong>execute <\/strong>effective <strong>Communication Plans <\/strong>so to diminish every negative consequence. NYC\u2019s students had the opportunity through the Courses that they followed to work on <strong>real Case Studies <\/strong>and to discover the <strong>Power of Communication <\/strong>which aims to transmit <strong>significant <\/strong>yet <strong>reliable <\/strong>messages to all target audiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There is also another branch of Communication that deals with <strong>Persuasion<\/strong>. In <strong>Persuasive Communication <\/strong>we aim to <strong>affect <\/strong>others; to change their beliefs or habits. If we think it well, <strong>Persuasion is Everywhere! <\/strong>In <em>Mass Media<\/em>, in <em>Advertising<\/em>, in <em>Marketing<\/em>, in <em>Political Communication<\/em>, in <em>Public Health Campaigns<\/em>, in the <em>News<\/em>, in <em>Court<\/em>, even in <em>Interpersonal Communications<\/em>. Every time that we communicate with someone our goal is to transmit a message that will <strong>change <\/strong>his\/her <strong>attitude <\/strong>towards a<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">specific issue or <strong>behavior <\/strong>or <strong>belief<\/strong>. In the Courses of <strong>Marketing and Communication <\/strong>that we offer in NYC students have the chance to discover every aspect of effective communication being able to create <strong>successful Adverting Campaigns <\/strong>that improve modern businesses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Furthermore, it is a fact that we live in the <strong>Internet Era <\/strong>where everything is moving so <strong>fast<\/strong>, and we all are being <strong>bombed <\/strong>everyday with millions of messages. Thought the <strong>Techniques and Practices of Marketing and Advertising <\/strong>that we teach in NYC, tomorrow\u2019s professionals will be able to launch into the market new products that will <strong>satisfy <\/strong>completely consumers\u2019 needs and wants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Moreover, through the design and offer of new modern products consumers will have the opportunity to <strong>improve the quality of their lives<\/strong>.
